P18 - Independence Trail, Penrose Commons
About this event
This trail is rated a 4, back when the trail rating system was only 1-4. Today, it would be a 10+. It is part of the Penrose Commons Trail System. We can decide there if we want to run the Liberty or Patriot branch, and, if there’s time, circle back and run the one not chose first.
Please note: A trail this technical is not safe in snow or ice, and many of us will have open vehicles. This one will be weather permitting. April will contact all participants signed up here a day or two before the trail run, to declare if this is go or no go. Also, because of the difficulty level of this trail, April is placing a three-vehicle minimum on this run, so we have ample assistance from other rigs.
Trail walkers to see the these rock crawlers work are welcome and encouraged. Working lockers front and rear, full skids, complete recovery equipment, working winches, and advanced driving skills are a must on this trail.
Arrive 9am, depart parking lot at 9:30.
