About this event
Join Patrol 4 for our annual Greenhorn run on Slaughterhouse Gulch. Patrol 3 will co-host the event. Meet up at Loaf & Jug 173 Bulldogger Rd, Bailey, CO 80421 @ 9:30 depart @ 10 AM. for the trailhead. P-4 will be providing lunch, Meatball Subs and Sausage, peppers, and onions along with sides and dessert. Bring a chair, water and sunscreen. This trail is suitable for most stock Jeeps.
Slaughterhouse Gulch is a locally famous off-road trail near Bailey, CO, attracting locals in droves most weekends. The loop has several small obstacles, making it perfect for a day of climbing rocky sections and flexing out your suspension. Though the trail isn't particularly scenic, it does offer beautiful aspen groves that turn gold in the fall, drawing leaf-peepers. A large parking area and proximity to Highway 285 and County Road 43 make it ideal for large groups. Bring a GRMS radio if you have one. We will have some radios to lend.
