P-4 Bever Creek Aspen Run
About this event
Join P-4 as we run Bever Creek outside Grant, CO. This trail is not rated and can be done in a stock rig. If the timing is right we will have great views of the Aspens in full color. We will start on the north side of Kenosha pass and finish up in Jefferson. Meet up at the loaf & Jug 173 Bulldogger Road, Bailey, CO @ 9:00 and depart for the trail at 9:21.
This is an easy trail for drivers of all kinds who’d like a nice drive in the woods. Off of Hall Valley Road, Beaver Creek offers a little challenge for stock vehicles and some amazing views of the forest throughout including Beaver Creek and its natural dams, and connects to the network of trails in the Jefferson Lake area.
Beaver Creek (FS 123) starts out a little rough and rocky but smooths out towards the end. The trail connects 285 to a trail network that leads up by Jefferson Lake. There are no specific obstacles to note here, just rocks in the road that should be minded.
This trail is closed from January 1st until June 15th due to the Pike/San Isabel Forest Lawsuit. Read more about it in the "Access Issues" of this write-up. There may be no gates or signs depending on Forest Service resources, but be assured that the trail is closed at that time due to the Pike/San Isabel land lawsuit and you WILL get ticketed at some point.
Be sure to bring lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen and the GRMS radio.
