About this event
Bill Moore Lake is a great trail to up your game a little bit if you're early in your off roading adventures! It can also be a great introduction to the network of trails that are in the Empire area. It might be a little drier than most years, but it should still be a fun trail with plenty of obstacles for you to try and conquer!
You're also welcome to bring passengers - just be mindful that they are your responsibility.
Check it out on TrailsOffRoad: https://www.trailsoffroad.com/US/colorado/trails/219-bill-moore-lake
The plan:
1. Arrive at air down location sometime after 8:30am for the driver's meeting (please take it slow and easy going through the narrow residential area leading up to the trail head / airdown spot)
2. Start Bill Moore Lake trail at 9:00am
3. Take a lunch break at Bill Moore Lake and get some "poser rock" pictures in the process
4. Head back the way we came and end the day probably close to 2pm (possibly sooner)
What to bring? Food for lunch, plenty of water, your vehicle with a filled tank, and a ready-to-have-fun mindset.
