Mile-Hi Jeep Club's Role in Land Conservation

Our Land Conservation Committee is made up of volunteer members from each of our Patrols. Our chairman will spend significant time mentoring committee members on what is happening and how each member of Mile-Hi Jeep Club can personally help in the fight to keep public land open for motorized recreation. All of our members are encouraged to reach out to the committee with any questions, concerns, or ideas regarding Land Conservation. We work toward a collaborative team effort within our club and encourage everyone to work together with local and national organizations, and other members of the off-road community.

Take some time to browse some of the resources on our website and make sure you check out the Community News and the MHJC Facebook page. We will be posting information about contributions by Mile-Hi Jeep Club and other community members. You can also read about some of the latest issues in Colorado and how you can get involved!

If you have any questions, please email the Land Advocacy chairman at Landuse@mhjc.org

Several Patrols have roads that they maintain or have adopted across Colorado:

Patrols 1 & 5
Patrol 2
Patrol 6
Patrols 10 & 12

Mill Creek
 Red Elephant Hill
 Miller Creek

Breakneck Pass

Browns Pass
  Wheeler Lake

Saints John

Slaughterhouse
  Gulch

Patrol 11
Patrol 14
 Patrol 16 Patrol 18
Birds Eye Gulch

Webster Pass

Bill Moore Lake

Red Cone

Spring Creek

The main requirement for adopting a 4WD road is a core group within the Patrol that is willing to do the volunteer work involved. Most Patrols schedule at least one "work event" each year per adopted road to maintain their adopted road(s). If If you have any questions, please email the Land Advocacy chairman at landuse@mhjc.org.
